Zero Percent Lower Starter Kit – These are the clamps that hold the AR-15 Non-Receiver in place, as well as the needed tooling, collets, bolts, washers, cooling fan, etc. This Starter Kit is reusable just like our other Starter Kits for popular 80% lowers/frames/receivers.
AR-15 Non-Receiver – A solid block of 6061 aluminum cut to a specified size. You could call it a Zero Percent Lower if you like. We know what you mean.
LLR – Lower Lower Receiver – This is what makes it easier to hold and load the firearm as well as protect the trigger. The rifle could function fine without this part, we just do not recommend it. This is included with the Zero Percent Lower Build Kit. There are plans to roll out code for the GG3 to make this part in the future, but it can be 3D printed if needed.
BTR – Buffer Tube Ring – The buffer tube ring. It holds the buffer tube, and attaches to the ULR. It has one job, and it does it really well. This is a manufactured part like the LLR. This is also included with the Zero Percent Lower Build Kit. Like the LLR, we aim to have code released so you can make this part on the GG3 as well. We would not suggest 3D printing this part. At all.
ULR – Upper Lower Receiver – An AR-15 Non-Receiver after milling operations on the GG3 CNC mill. With plastic Bolt Catch Inserts added, this holds the bolt catch, fire control group, magazine release, pivot and take down pins, and the BTR. The heart of the build.
Zero Percent Lower Build Kit – This is the LLR, BTR, Bolt Catch Inserts, and the required bolts to connect them to the ULR. We recommend the use of red loctite on all bolts to ensure longevity and rigidity of the build.
To summarize:
ULR+LLR+BTR = An AR-15 stripped lower receiver when combined. No 80% lower required, but just as private as its 80% lower counterpart for a similar price point.
