Alarm 8 / Homing Fail

Alarm 8 homing failure on a CNC mill is an error message that occurs when the machine is unable to un-trip a limit switch. This could be caused by debris in a limit switch, a faulty limit switch, a broken motor, or a wiring issue. 

First thing to do is clean the limit switch with a brush and vacuum to remove any metal chips that could be triggering or shorting the limit switch.
